Serie 1:Quick Fix Flabby Arms

By: yetmee

This is the first of a series of quick fix solutions every fashionista can have. This item is fascinating because arms are the toughest part of the body to tone. Haven’t you ever been envious of girls with perfect biceps and triceps. They are usually reed thin as well. I remember a number of years ago when Oprah Winfrey went on TV to talk about her weight loss, there was  one  scene where she raised her arms and what really  shocked me was how  flabby her arms were despite having lost quite a lot of weight. I personally also struggle with heavy limbs, it is a genetic disorder from my dearest mommy. So yes, now on top of the heavy thighs, the big arms as well. And from young,  I refrain from wearing sleeveless items  although I am getting bolder or is it more reckless as I age to my own folly. But I take it as  growing pains of  maturity when other things take precedent; like loving my body for what it is and that there are more important things than the size of my arms like my good health etc etc, you know the drill.

But nonetheless there are days when I do want to look like  I have Jennifer Garner’s toned triceps which no matter the number of tricep curls I do , it is simply taking forever to get there though the question should be where exactly is there, right. Since I don’t know the answer and since I can’t ‘suck it in’ where triceps  are concerned, imagine my marvel when I found this site that sells the arm equivalent of a girdle , under the brand name FLABuLESS.

I mean look at the before and after results. It claims to be able to reduce from 1 inch to 3.5 inches (I am thinking ten years and massive diets to get there, yes finally  the “there”).  It is made of spandex and nylon material so should be quite hypo allergenic and it serves like a second skin. That I would take to mean no unnecessary bulges and it is not too thick which would be a gem for our tropical weather . Kinda like wearing your gym gear on your arms.

Unfortunately , the time when I most want to look arm thin is when I am wearing sleeveless tops or dresses, so guess that is still a no deal. But at least when I wear those spandex or jersey long sleeved or quarter sleeved tops which tends to cling and shout unnecessary inches, my arms will look sleek and toned. Although I could try the Veston, which looks like a  bolero but a functional one and comes in party materials like satin and silk , which means you just wear it like a bolero jacket  but you don’t or rather I don’t need to “hide” anymore in my normal  bolero jackets or shawls, here when I wear the Veston , it is instant fashion statement and “slim” arms, voila!

But I would caution that like all girdles, the bulge got to go somewhere , so I am just wondering where maybe I will have fat wrists instead, I could live with that for  a short while , I guess.

  1. As you say, the fat has to go somewhere. Nothing like stuffing it in one place and it bulging out another. :) That’s why I love Slimpressions! I saw these in Redbook this month and I HIGHLY recommend them! They smooth and slim all of my trouble areas on the top half of my body…muffin top, jelly belly, back fat AND arm flab! I LOVE THEM, particularly the “haves”. Great layering piece. And they stay in place because they sit on the hips. Shapewear that stays in place…how refreshing! I got mine at herroom.com by the way (free shipping).

  2. Caroline, thanx for that lovely piece of info…we’ll check it out!
