How to get award-winning looks
By: thebeautywriter
It’s the season for awards! Kicking off the year was the recent Golden Globes awards where A-listers, singers, and artistes come out to play, and boy were they rocking the red carpet! While everyone’s fussing over Drew Barrymore’s disheveled hair ala Amy Winehouse style, Olivia Wilde’s to-die-for dreamy purple frock, Blake Lively’s two sizes too small Nina Ricci dress and Jennifer Lopez’s trashy metallic gold dress, many seem to forget that it also takes the right makeup to face the spotlight.
The old Hollywood glamour

Drew Barrymore looks up to Marilyn Monroe for that retro glamour look
The 50 First Dates actress paired her icy blue dress with silver blue eyelids and peachy sweet cheeks with just a tinge of pink lips. We love the contrast of it and trust us, blue is making it big this season so you may want to start stocking the colour up. Think blue mascara, eyeshadow and liner.

Try Stila Pearl Shimmr Gloss in Pearlescent Pink (first left), RM85 each

Try Clarins Eye Pencil 09 in Ultramarine, RM48
The sexy understated look

Kate Winslet opt for the sexy, understated conservative look which suits women her age
This look is fairly simple to achieve. Kate’s eyes are lined with the classic black eyeliner before dusting the eyelids with a neutral shade (think browns). Then, dust the cheeks with coral or peach blusher for that instant glow. Don’t forget the matte lipstick!

Try Coffret D’or Color Blush, POA

Try Coffret D’or Shine Drape Rouge (Glow), RM86
The rosy look

Cameron Diaz is the epitome of sweet and girly with her pink, rosy makeup
All Cameron Diaz needs to bring out her natural beauty and those gorgeous eyes are shimmery rose/ pink eye shadow and soft, flushed cheeks to boot.

Try Stila Precious Pearl Palette, RM190

Try Stila Pomegranate Crush Lip & Cheek Stain, POA
Three fairly simple looks made popular on the red carpet; we don’t see why you shouldn’t experiment with your makeup too. And don’t forget, considering it’s Spring, remember to stock up on all things rosy and pink. Looking sweet has never been this yummy.

Stila’s too expensive in Malaysia & ever since they raise the price during the petrol hike time last year, I find the price too ridiculous to buy.
The stilacosmetics.com offers so much more promotion, package deals and discounts. I just wonder why the stila in Malaysia have to be so expensive =_=
SAD!
