Emmagem V3.0

A year has passed since we started on this new platform of blogging. We started out a long time ago in 2006, tried so many versions of layouts and finally reached a perfect layout emmagemV2.0 which is the previous one. Well, it was perfect when we made it. Everyone evolves, including emmagem’s mission and goals. So, it was about time emmagem got a facelift. We’ve learn so much over the year and realize that our layout needs some much needed change as it was getting too cluttered here and there. The colors were out, the content was everywhere and everything was just placed very randomly. From our little random survey, everyone keeps on saying its too cluttered with words everywhere.

So we decided to take a 360 degree turn, consulted a few significant people and wa-la, came up with this new layout. We figured, we should start the new year with a bang and we wanted something new and fresh. We took out all the dots and girl on the front and made it less pinky. Well, we still retained our pinkness through the links, as our links has always been pink since we started the emmagemV2.0.

This new layout has a richer purple and we will be changing the background image every now and then according to the season:)

So, what’s new?

New logo

Well, basically everything’s new:) We have a new logo with a clover shaped heart on it. It has this glassy effect on it, which makes it look nice.It is basically an updated version of the old logo, with a new emblem.

Get on our mailing list for exclusive emails and member-only events/contest/giveaways that we will give out every now and then. Click on the image located at the top right of the page. Only registered readers who are on our mailing lists can join future contests at emmagem.com, because then we’d have all your details and you don’t have to tell us again:) We might even send you random a snail mail, teehee. You’ll never know.

We have narrowed down our categories into 6 major categories and others are subcategories under each major categories. They are: Beauty, Fashion, Featured Articles, Lifestyle, News&Events and Questions. Each category is clickable and when you hover it, the sub-category will fall down and you can choose what you’d like to read in a more organized manner. Feel free to click around

Featured articles that rorates

This part is the coolest part, it slides up for every feature article. So at any given time that we have any featured articles, it will be shown at the featured articles part with an excerpt of the whole article. You can always click on the image, title or “continued” to read the full article. Look out for some of our features soon

Latest Updates

How to view the whole article

We have around 4 or more latest updates on the main page. These latest updates are NOT the whole articles but mainly excerpts of the articles, you would have to click on either the title, image or “continued” to read on. Of course, when there are like the few latest articles, that does not mean that the older posts are missing. Click on “older entries” at the end of the few latest updates to view backdated articles. See below:

Sidebar

We totally revamped our sidebar taking out a lot of links and such and adding in a few other things such as:

  Links to all our video archives (*still under construction*)
• 
  We have this tag cloud that is so awesome, it moves around and round when you hover and when you click on it, it will stop and go to the preferred tag. This is one way to search for things that you want at emmagem. Maybe you’d like to find for some questions, use these tags as a keyword.

We also added navigation to emmagem’s other pages such as our MOFSD, MOFSD Feedback page and Emmagem’s Top100 ranking site for all blogshops!
