With all the iPhone craze and touch screen craze right now, I also feel like I need a touch screen phone But I really don’t want to prize tag to go along with it. I have a touch screen fetish, lols. Where can I get one emmagem?

I understand what you feel about the touch screen craze. Everyone is doing it. Once I was at Low Yat Plaza buying a video camera, I made a comment about how everything is touch screen now, even video cameras. The fella at the shop said, “Touch screen is going to be big!”. I guess he was right. Every screen nowadays are touch screen. From phones to shopping mall directories. They are all going tactile.

Touching is the new pink (ok, that sounded wrong). So where can you get a touch screen phone? I have the answer: The new LG KP 500.

LG has jumped on the bandwagon and now too has a touch screen phone. This LG KP 500 is a newbie in town and boy does it look awesome.

If I were to own a touch screen phone, it has to be cute okay!

Don’t worry, this phone is called a cookie. It has to be as cute as a cookie. Maybe because it is small and cute, owh and maybe tasty too. It does look amazingly sleek too. It comes in 4 colours: Black, Brown, Silver and Bronze.

But but but, is it big and bulky? you know I hate carrying big stuff around…

Being 3 inches, the LG KP 500’s screen is very big. It is also about 89 gram, which is quite light in my books. Lookie below, that’s how slim it is.

I need to touch, really, makes me feel good…

Owh you will! This phone has a 3 inch screen which makes it big enough to touch it however you want Pictures are more vivid, videos are better to view and even games are nicer to play, because of the big screen. Check out the website to preview the interface. They have a couple of videos there for you to see how the phone works. The movement seems so smooth and nice.

Despite it being slim, cute and all, I the interface of the phone has to be easy, y’know? I’m not a tech genius!

The interface of this phone is pretty simple. The functions are all kept in an easy to touch menu. It is located at the bottom, and with a touch of the screen, you can explore all the functions on the menu very easily. It also comes with a built in stylus and your phone will then look like an awesome PDA-ish phone. It has a QWERTY keyboard where you can tap your way through the message. It even recognizes handwriting, so you can write like how you write (even in Mandarin!) on a notebook. Plus you can even personalize your photos using the stylus

But, does the phone interact with me much?

I believe it does(in a not creepy way)!  The LG KP 500 has a motion sensor system where it can detect your movements while playing which makes the game even more awesome. I’ve played a few motion sensor games before and boy are they hard. You have to like literally move your phones here and there to play the game. Super hard, but exciting! When you view pictures, it also shifts the image horizontal or vertically to make sure the view is optimized. No turning of phone needed

Owh, sounds awesome, but it IS still a normal phone right? Has all its functions of a basic phone?

Of course! You CAN still sms and mms. Being a phone in this era, it has to have a 3-megapixel camera. It also has the usual MP3 player, FM radio, calendar, clock, organizer, alarm and other things. You can go online through WAP and send MMS. Sadly, it does not have Wifi or 3G, but hey, it IS a touch screen phone and for the price that you’re getting it at, I believe it is very worth it.
