The Winning Dream
By: Sharyl
Yet another familiar face especially to those who spent nearly half their life logging onto the Internet. Cindy Tey, winner of Malaysian Dream Girls, one of the most popular online streaming and reality show in Malaysia. Only at 22 years old, Cindy is already experiencing many things in life that some girls could only wished for. From doing photoshoots to marketing and communications and voice talent at our local radio station, Red FM, Cindy has done it all.
Cindy is a copywriter as well and you can have a peek into her work on her facebook, once she has added you that is. Oh, she blogs as well. Such a bubbly and friendly girl, during our interview with her at Dessert Bar in Mont Kiara, we had girly talk which frequently broke into contagious giggles for nearly 2 hours long.
Fashion is every girl’s passion. Cindy for one, contrast to what one might think, does not particularly purchase high-end branded goods. Why spend more on the same item when you can get at a cheaper price else where? The sunnies are from Forever 21, the white top – the BF’s shirt, and the denim skirt are from Pull&Bear, the belt is from Topshop, the necklace and bracelet are from Diva. And my two favourite items are the boots and the bag. The boots are from Australia and the bag is from Sports Girl.
Cindy prefers a casual style and accessorizes with chunky jeweleries like long necklaces or big bracelets. For the days that she has to attend events, Cindy opts for high waisted skirt or pants, to go along with her corset, an item that she adores so much! You can see it in the earlier post, Girls Days Out.
There are only two rules for Cindy, one is to be different from others. Well, no one wants to look like the next person, right. And two is that, if she were to wear a long sleeved top, then she’ll pair it with a short skirt/shorts. And the other way round as well, if she’s wearing a pants, she’ll wear a corset or a tube top. I noticed her eyes and she excitedly told me, the best eyeliner is from Shu Emura, where it is refillable and it’s so easy to use. The rest of her make up items are from Kate.
I’m sure we could learn a thing or two from our chosen Malaysian Dream Girl, right?
