Hi, do u know anywhere that sells masquerade masks in Penang? I’m having a school prom in less than 4 days and theres a best-dressed contest. Any helpful pointers as well?

Hey,

Since I do not live in Penang, I’m really not sure if there are any costume shops in Penang. But, if you’ve searched emmagem’s archives, we answered this question before and featured a mask designer called Evon T. She’s a mask designer who has been designing awesome masks. Her masks are 100% handmade and can be custom made too :) Price ranges from RM40 – RM60. Contact her through her email if you want more information.

Since you need it in a hurry, maybe you can try contacting her to express courier it to you before your prom.

Other than that, Queensbay Mall in Penang held a Halloween costume recently. If they had a costume competition, i’m sure they have a costume shop there and maybe there are masks there? I’m not sure about that as the website does not state any costume shops available.

Why not DIY your own mask? But it would take a lot of work.

So anyone else can help?

    I’m not sure what’s the name..but there’s this Sg.wang-ish looking shop just opposite Elianto (after turning the corner from Bonita). It’s the first shop of the “many boutiques” row. I don’t know how to explain, but frequent shoppers at Queensbay would know what i’m talking about.

    Yeah, so that shop has some masquerade masks. But i think i might be a little late with my comment.
