Question: Pareo Skirts

hi, my i know where i can get a pareo skirt to match my kebaya…

Raya is coming up! We all need those baju kebayas and kurungs for all the yummy open houses, yums!:)

Pareo from Fashion Fetish

If you’re wondering what are Pareo, they are basically just “sarongs” or wraparound skirts. It is a Tahitian word (From what wiki told me). You know like how we wear those sarongs at the beach. Those are basically Pareos.

The basic ones are basically the sarongs and there are many ways to tie them. Men and women alike can wear a pareo. Like guys in Hawaii or even in Malaysia :) Some people use some sort of accessory to tie it up together. Watch a video on the many ways to tie a Pareo on youtube here. (This video is so informative on how to tie Pareo/Sarongs. Now I feel like going to Hawaii and wearing a sarong (mengada me)! It is from this website called Pareo.com)

    Yeah.. I saw that too.. RM 30… want to get one for myself too this raya..

    The one in vougue boutique – I will just have to wrap wround and tie with the attached ‘tali’… i guess it would be something like beach wraparound skirt found in langkawi….

    The one in fashion fetish pulak, I gotta use a buckle to secure it.. which would be more fancy… and i saw the ‘split’ so that there won’t be a ‘bump’ when i tie it using the buckle.. hhhmmmmm

    Ggrrrr… which one do u think is better ya?

    hey, i got myself a pareo from fashion fetish too. I bought together with the kurung top. they are having a promotion. it’s really cool with the buckle thingie, and the satin material is just so nice to wear. it’s so not kampung!!!

    at last.. I have made up my mind… bought a pareo from Fashion Fetish … that white + purple + blue one :) .. Like that buckle.. maybe I can use it with other items in my closet as well..

    planning to take it with me to my next vacation after this coming raya…

    ….. gonna top it with white loose satin top + chunky jewellery + high heels .. to walk around town.. perhaps dinner…

    ….and.. just top it with a simple black tube.. and my gold color sandals.. to walk nearby the beach… :P
