Today, our country Malaysia, celebrates the 51st anniversary of the country’s independence. I bet there are many events went on til midnight for the countdown.

This is one of those days where you can find, people of all races coming together, waving the Malaysia flag- Jalur Gemilang, proud to be a Malaysian.

I myself went for the MME - Merdeka Millenium Endurance Race at Sepang. Caught a glimps of our ex-prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir there supporting his son for the event. When 12midnight strikes, that’s when everyone gathers, declaring and shouting out loud Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! and after that stood to sing the national song, Negaraku. It’s an awesome experience to be at the track, a total different scene from the usual clubbing/partying.
