Recently, we brought up topics that are close to heart (Us, online shoppers) and we have gotten tremendous reply and support, the feedback page is in its final stages of development, wait for it to be launched soon:) We will also be launching an exclusive “Online sellers only VIP club” (okay, so we haven’t figured out an awesome name for it yet), but we are in the midst of discussing and we want to invite all online shop owners to have an exclusive club/community where we can discuss and bring out important issues that are relating to the online business:) Of course, you will have many other exclusive privileges that only club members get to have (hint, hint)!

Emmagem Gives Back!

As part of our giving back to the community mission, emmagem will donate every* RM5 * (subject to change from time to time at our discretion) of each advertisement we get! We went for a Rock concert with a twist recently. ROCK UP’ 08!! In case you did not notice the banners and all the little reminders! :D IT WAS AWESOME! They managed to put up an awesome evening of shows and also managed to sell enough raffle tickets, get enough donations for the Agathians Shelter!:) GREAT JOB, people! Thanks to everyone who made it to the concert! Here are some of the picture i managed to take (without looking so bad, lol)

(Okay, so i did not get awesome shots of the fashion show and the organizers has not gotten back to me with nice pictures yet, so wait for it some time soon k? :) )

HIV/AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN 2008

This campaign was organized by USM all the way in Kelantan. They are organizing a whole array of events that are aiming towards raising money for HIV/AIDS Research/Aid. Check out their website for more details about the event. They have dinners, second hand clothes for sale, and bazaars! IF you’re anywhere near Kelantan, drop by for a visit and get educated about HIV/AIDS!

Here are some “DID YOU KNOW?” Facts about AIDS/HIV:

  1. There are about 34 million people living with HIV worldwide
  2. AIDS has killed about 19 million people worldwide
  3. 13 million children have been orphaned by AIDS
  4. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS(disease)
  5. HIV stands for HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS
  6. AIDS stands for ACQUIRED IMMUNODEFICIENCY SYNDROME
  7. HIV CANNOT be transmitted by AIR
  8. HIV is transmitted (3 major WAYS) (FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION IN THEIR WEBSITE)

I know, it is all the way in Kelantan, but there is ONE way you can help contribute to this fund. They are selling T shirts t raise funds, so go grab one! We first found Tres Chic in July 2007, wayy back when we were still on the old layout, when there wasn’t as many Online shops as they are now, we wrote a write up about Tres Chic. All their items are made in USA, Spain and everywhere else and not like any of the ones you’ve seen before. Here’s the post, edited a bit:

Tres Chic is a new boutique in the Telawi Streets. Now, you can not only visit cool shops at our favourite shopping mall, Bangsar Village II, but shop at fab boutiques outside the mall at the same time. Now, are we pampered or what?

Back to the awesome buy, we found a pretty looking shop and browsed through their pages, and boy do they have a lot of pretty clothes to oogle at. Tres Chic Boutique was the brainchild of Samantha and Lynn who strongly believe that every woman should be able to dress to kill (With now, only Samantha on board). They sell clothes that accentuate and flatter an independent woman’s body. They live by the quote ” Let your clothes help you convey the woman that you are,” and thus came up with the chic boutique.

Clothes from Tres Chic Boutique are mainly from the United States of America and priced from RM89-RM500+. Clothes here are catered for the modern woman with an independent career and wants to dress to kill every time she meets clients or just for evening tea with girlfriends.

From pretty prom dresses to tops that make you the queen of the office, you are bound to find something you love. They are having a MAJOR clearance sale now to bring in more evening dresses for everyone:)

    What’s going on:     Probably the most organized shopaholics party of the bunch, Bijou Bazaar has not only vendors selling items, but also performances by singers, food, and even a DJ. You can lug your boyfriend to this one, as they have 2 sets of PS2 available for them to play! lol. And, oh, if you’re running out on cash to shop, they do accept credit cards, so shop away!
