Malaysia’s Fashion Blog and Online Shopping Directory

Like for example, they gave you the wrong size, or the seller has gone missing after you’ve made the payment, or even worst, they tell you it is “brand new” but when you get it, you know by the looks of it, that the purse(for example) has been used and it even has the used perfume smell of the old user (eiuwww)!!!
Well, the purse incident, was true, I experienced it when I bought something online from a second hand seller. She clearly stated there it is “Brand New and Never worn”. I asked her again, if the purse is brand new, she said yes and i trusted her! I even asked her if there was any defects and is it worn out or old looking. She said, “it is never worn and super new”. I made a mistake by not asking her for more pictures and such to actually see the product nicely! So i paid her.
When it arrived at my house, I opened the package excitedly just to find a smelly purse which looked like it has been used for at least 6 months! It looks OLD and WORN! I angrily emailed her about this matter and she cool-ey said to me, “its not an old one. The color is that way. I told you that is a pearl white & not exactly white. I never wear it. I swear!”
She dares to swear to me some more! It is not after a few emails that she told me she bought it second hand!
How dare this lady! I asked her if i could refund, and she said no. I left it at there.
Ever since that incident, I was so skeptical of buying second hand items. I always wonder, if people are truly honest when they are saying “it is brand new and never worn before”. Of course, there would be more selling points, if it is brand new and the tags are still in tact. But sometimes, you can wear the clothes for a million times, and still keep the tags and put it back on when they want to sell..
It is people like the purse seller that keeps other people from buying online! That purse seller has broken the honesty of online sales and these people should STOP selling online until they are honest about their products!
Don’t worry, out of all my online transactions (Trust me, I shop online, A LOT), I’ve only experienced this issue a few times and an online seller (from MOFSD) actually said that they will refund me when I received a defected item. Now, that is what I call being honest and actually are responsible about selling items online.
The thing is, when we shop online, we don’t know if the items are going to be of good quality or not, we can only trust the online sellers’ words and description about the item.
Be honest-lah!

That is why, emmagem has come up with a Feedback Page (cannot tahan being cheated anymore). This is where online shoppers like myself, can read other people’s review about the online shop’s sales and feedback from their online shoppers! A feedback page by emmagem would be a third party thing where online shops have no control over only putting out the positive feedbacks and hiding the negative ones! If they have been treating their customers right, they will have no worries over their feedback! *If they have good feedback from their online shoppers, I’m sure that will bring in more sales!
To all online shop owners who are daring enough to take praises and criticism, please comment here with your email that you want a feedback page, and we will get back to you about how it goes about.
To all online shoppers, demand for feedbacks from your online shops, so that you know you are getting the right customer service, after all, as the saying goes, customers are always right!:)

had an experience where it was my 1st time bought clothes on9..
they gave me d wrong color..so when i asked them, they said they will give me d correct one by COD (i got d items bought by pos laju b4 dat)..
in less than 24 hours, i alredi got my new shirt tho’ they came at my houz at 10.30 pm!
kudos 2 d seller!
Seriously, I shop alot and when i first started to shop online, i’m so afraid the items i received will be faulty.
So the 1st item i bought from was from ebay, and the colour of the item is so different from the photo i saw online. =.=
since then, i quit from ebay and start surf e boutiques, and i ONLY take COD service. haha..save postage but not petrol, at least I got the right Item i want. And, amazingly. most of the sellers i met i petite and cute. ^^
Its very worrisome to learn about this rising unethical practise. Due to this selfish people, little do they realize their actions will affect other genuine blogshop traders/sellers
We are proud to announce that we at CURVYCHICS, DO NOT condone to this type of practise at all! We always take the liberty to ensure that items are not torn, faded or smells when we send them to our customers :-). Whatever we get from our suppliers overseas, it is in the same package the customers’ received from us.
I hope those ignorant traders/sellers will put themselves in customer’s shoe - how would they feel if they too received items that are not good in quality?? Please be ethical when you do your business as your actions will only do worst for genuine traders/sellers.
YES! We want a feedback page~!!
We do believe that we are a group of genuine sellers.

We would like to participate too!
thanks emmagem for coming out with this fab idea.
Yes I totally support the feedback page!! cos i have been selling in ebay for years and it does actually gives me sales compare to when I just started and with no selling feedback.
But starting from this year, ebay malaysia has started charging sellers for fees, so i switched to other alternative like in emmagem!!
thanks emmagem for this absolutely wonderful website!!
We want a feedback page!!
Oh Ellysha,
my fraud problem is about some pre-order item from Taiwan or something.
I think I get confused by the pictures on the pre-order item.
I received the item and it is so totally unlike the one showed on the picture. One of the item is really badly sewed. As for the long sleeve blouse, the sleeve is not as long as stated on the blog. When I confronted with the seller they did apology but told me that it was how it came from TAIWAN and they could do nothing about it.
I have came across with some testimonials on some pre-order blogs but they were very satisfied with the item received. Well, perhaps it’s just me who lack of luck.
Later I tried to check out on the web where did they get the stock from. Guess what? I found both the Taiwan AUTEHNTIC item web page and the China REPLICA item web page!! I do believe that they bought the items from the China web page because the Taiwan seller did not even want to ship internationally. The China manufacturers are just taking the Taiwanese design and modeling pictures and tried to fake them. Of course their price are much lower.
Please, seller. If you are taking the stocks from those China wholesale supplier, tell us honestly. Well we do accept that. Do not have to be shameful even if your item is made in China. Be genuine.
Friendly reminder for everyone, and no offense for those who really get the stocks from Taiwan, modeling pictures can sometime be photoshopped until very well and attractive. Now I only believe in sellers with in-stock item.
HIHI ya’all,
It was really shocking to hear the experiences of you girls out there when buying online.
When I first started my on9 boutique, I was skeptical that there will be any buyers willing to shop online due to not being able to try those clothes and the little that they know bout this e shop, but from my experience of being a eshop owner is that, being truthful to your customers and promising them that what they buy is what they see at the pictures are very important.
Never ever lie about something that is already there because I believe that its something where you dont treat others the way you dont wanna be treated.
So far our feedback is great and we are happy at that.
If its possible,we want a feedback page too =)
Thanks Karen for reviewing us for yellow items as well..didnt manage to thank you earlier =)

Oh dear. I have just purchased some clothes online, i hope they arent one of these people… (swt)
Hi all,
Great suggestions! … i do believe tat there are ppl out there with very bad intentions, to cheat. ….
I do want to advise customers, not to reveal personal informations too much, when purchasing online.
Also, purchase with a online store which is trustable or recomended by friends with good reputations.
(word by mouth is much stronger).
Cheers,

us too!! pls..
that’s why certain things i don’t buy second hand - i.e. shoes, wallets, earrings
even when stated new - cause sometimes pictures don’t do enough justice
i bought a top from a blog. secondhand stuff. well, kinda my fault for not asking in detail if there’s any defects on it. but isn’t it the blog owner’s responsibility to explain in detail if there’s such defects? i mean, come on, be honest. some threads was like pulled out, there are like few threads coming out here & there. its kinda disappointing to realize those unexpected faulty on the items once you’ve already purchased ‘em!
That’s a really great idea wey! Thankfully i’ve not gotten cheated yet off my online purchases (touchwood) but i don’t wish for that to happen to anyone which is why i think this whole feedback system is wonderful!
Well done Karen & team.
Hye..
what a great idea..we do want the feedback from our customers , so that we can improve our service.
btw i had one experience which is one of my customer want to refund and return back the item and the reason is the baju so big for her. I`m sorry dear, my rules already said that i can`t refund or return even exchange the item. I dont lie to her because my web also show the size of the baju, so she should knw very well of her size. And i also dont sell the defect clothes but if i do sell it or maybe accidentally sell please tell me. we try to do our best services.

argh…i’ve been cheated also….rm300..omg..that’s a big amount for me…i made a payment when she ask me to do so. after i make a payment she still answer me that “don’t afraid la..i’m also has been cheated b4..by buying on9…dun worry..i will never do that to anyone else” …i’m satisfied with her confession..but until a week later..i didn’t get the item yet.. i emailed her a few times..but there’s no replied at all…. that time i realized that she cheated on me..i ugut her to report police with hoping that she will scared and return my money..but it was hopeless… come on la…be genuine and real…. when u cheated on people..god will pay u backk!!!

I have once been con buying in ebay malaysia..just becareful when ure paying specially if u banked in to the sellers account.
well..my exp is wt ebay on9..i bot 1st baju, quite satisfy so i bot another 3 pcs.. tat disapointing bcos d color, quality is totally OUT fr pix.. d saddest part was d 1st baju tat i bot after 2nd wash, d material ruin..i onli worn ONCE.. after tat, my level of confident drop lower than bellybutton ””’.(! ..
i’m new here, at least can visit some of d boutique personally..thou i may consider COD..
oh yeah, emmagem, cool page!
If the color or look of the clothes are too different from the model pictures, normally I’ll wear it and take a ‘real’ photo. Plus, I do show a closer snapshot on the material for most items. This is to avoid unhappy experiences for both the customers and me.
Frankly speaking, sometimes we sellers really can’t 100% control the quality of the clothes if we imported them from other countries. That goes back to the reason why I show pictures of a closer look on materials. I remember once I bought a RM70++ (Ori price was RM120++) dress from a department store, the material and sewing quite good. But after a first time wash, the color runs and I’ve to throw it away…
well, mine was not fraud in the literal sense, but i somehow felt cheated.
i bought a Nine West handbag for RM300 from an online shopping blog whose operators are Malaysians but one resided in the US. i didnt mind paying for the price expecting that the bag would worth the price paid. not only that it arrived late, but i was not at all excited by what i saw. the bag looked cheap and even some parts on the strap were slightly damaged. and the colour was really putting me off. the size was too small for my expectation– the seller didnt include the measurements of the bag in the blog. to put it simply, i dislike the bag, until now.
what suprises me more is the fact that i love this one RM30 bag vintage bag bought at Amcorp Mall more than the RM300 Nine West. what a waste of my money. however wont saying no to online shopping because it’s just so interesting but i am, without a doubt, more careful now.
and you better watch you backs too, girls. things placed online may seem temting but not everything is what it seems in real life.
btw, i wont buy anything from the same seller again. i may have lost RM300, but losing 1 customer on the part of the seller costs a lot more.
I got cheated last week. I bid a memory card at ebay. After I won, the seller sent wrong items. The seller inform me the item had been ship but he/she had sent wrong items and ask me to return the item to get the real one. But the worst thing is when the wrong item arrives I found that it was an imitation and some of the part was defected. I feel so cheated. At the bidding page the seller mention the item was brand new and never mention that it is an imitation. Sigh..
Also I bought a second hand belt from someone at KL sell and trade at livejournal. It has been two weeks now the item still not arrive. I have email the seller so many time to give me the tracking number but she just kept quite! What a liar.
Next time I have to be more careful when buying online. I hate being cheated!
Hi
I’ve read most of your comments. Just wanted to say that I belong to the minority - I haven’t bought anything (wearable) from online shops. Only recently have I taken out my credit card to buy reading stuff (ebooks), that also after careful consideration.
Am I from the Jurassic Park era? I don’t know. I guess I am the feel- touch kind of girl. I need to try the clothes or bags or taste (the cupcakes!) before I make the purchase.
Anyway, congrats to all of your online sales ventures.
Hi, babyboomer, when I first started I was like you too, I am a feel and especially see type of girl…but think of it this way , how often do we get to try cupcakes for instance at a shop before purchase when we buy, a lot is based on taking first step and the surprising thing , if you ask yourself how often is a purchase a total failure, it is seldom, but not impossible also even on brick mortar purchases right. Just like buying books , when you decide on a book , it is based on the sypnoses, the cover and then you purchase and then you read and then decide if it was a good book right even at a shop…but now it gets delivered right to your doorstep:-)
Hi, just sharing my thots…
its quite sad reading all the stories about buyers getting cheated. i’m quite an avid online shopper myself because i love quirky one-off pieces that some shopblogs bring in - and for such an affordable price! but so far, i’ve only received top service and full satisfaction with ALL my purchases…especially from shops like xoxo.chic, velvet ribbon, tictactoe, a model studio, a fashion obsession, 10 things i love about me, clothesbucket, shopaholics unite, trendy hunt and pumpkin. i have bought multiple items from these shops and their service is excellent every time! so to all these people, keep up the good job because you have one super happy customer here!
Hey girls (or guys),
I’d like to know if any of you bought any item from Galzparty (dot blogspot dot com) recently?
I’ve made 2 sales with her before this and it was smooth and good. (i COD with her in KL)
But last month i bought a black off shoulder mini dress from her and as she wasn’t free to COD, i asked her to post the item to me instead.
I payed and provided her with my address and phone number.
It’s been a month plus from the time i payed her.
Nothing arrived at my door step yet.
I mailed her regarding it, there wasn’t any reply.
I sms’ed her. No replies either.
So i called her. No one picked up the phone.
So whats going on really? Coz as i remember she seemed nice in person. I really do not want to defame her like that but I’ve tried all ways to contact her but failed.
So did anyone purchased anything from her lately?
Thanks!
It is very sad that some people are willing to cheat for such a small amount of money..Imagine the hassle that you have to go through..why not just be honest? oh! about the perfume thingy in the bag..some new bags stinks really bad..you would have to do something about it rite? because we at ‘myclosetgiggles’ went through the same situation..and by airing the bag for a few days won’t work too..so..i guess you should spray some perfume in it??heheh..suggest a solution as why we should or should not do such..thank youu!! love this comment box..
Sugar Nation : If you bought from eBay, you should report the seller immediately. eBay has a strong policy against fraud and will usually side the buyers, not the sellers. And you can put a black mark on his sales record, too. eBay can and will ban the seller from selling on eBay for years, or for life with their details like Paypal account and credit card info etc. You can do some serious damage to bad sellers on eBay! Just don’t abuse your right!
i’ve done countless of online shopping. Most of it are good experiences, there are not-too-good ones as well but its ok. Am just appalled by this blogshop ‘nakedfad’ (i forgot the URL already). I bought an item from this shop; made my payment, waited for almost two weeks for it but got none.
Emailed the owner, she said she has posted it (pos laju) but for ’some reason’ it got returned to her (mind you she sounded indifferent and brief about it)!. So i said then nvr mind, pls refund me and she agreed. Waited another week but none received, i kept mailing her for it. she asked if she can postpone refund till next week cos the Maybank atm is quite far from her college. I said fine.
Waited for dayssss, still nothing. I have mailed her countless of times for it again n again. Her last mail to me said that she HAVE refunded to me and claimed that ‘its strange that i did not received it’. I mailed her back saying that i did NOT receive any refund whatsoever! ‘THE END’
After that nomore news were heard from her. I hav been very patient. I am pretty good tempered even if i receive items that have defects or stains on them (i normally only put a mental note not to make second purchase from the same shop thats all)
I swear i have NEVER receive any refund! I just hope to share this with other shoppers to be wary of this blogshop.
And YES i am still angry #$%&#$%!!!!
I bought cosmetics from strawberrynet and I don’t think they cosmetics are new. It seem old and the free gift that came along with it (a lipgloss) has a faulty cap.
The liquid eyeshadow that I bought looks as if it’s been stored for a long time and also looks like it’s diminishing! like 1/2 of it is empty and u had to twist all the way nearing end to get the eyeshadow liquid out.
There’s also no manufacturing label dates on it! I know for sure there is one because I buy that brand all the time.
Never again will i buy from online shop. you don’t know what kind of stocks they’re giving you. And when it’s defective/spoil u have to spend more money just returning it. BAH
Hi Karenmarie,
Please include us in the feedback page. Thanks.
Hi JiLL,
So sad to hear that you met such in irresposible seller… I am an selller too and i feel so sorry for you. The seller’s irresponsible action had spoilt other buyers to shop online…..
Hope all the seller be more responsible & professional!
Hi All,
Not only buyer will get cheated. I believe seller also scare to meet those irresponsible & unhonest buyer too. I have a few experiences, thought nothing loss but it has make me place myself in a high alert situation. Online transaction very much depends on trust. Do place yourself in buyer position, bank in money to a stranger and wait at home for goods to arrive, kind of scary right. But so long we (seller) and you (buyer) work together and i believe the situation can be improved.
