Shopaholic parties = Junkyard sales, offline sales, lapsap parties, flea markets, bazaars and even a zoo!

They are everywhere around KL! We’re talking about these parties that some lovely fashionistas organize for anyone and everyone to sell their second hand items and anything that they are selling like crafts and jewelry and stuff like that.

Here’s a list of all the shopping parties that has been going on in Malaysia (Ok, maybe only Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Klang Valley area. . .)

Shopping Parties/Junkyard Sales/Bazaars

  • Fashionistas Junkyard Sales
    This event is organized by the people at Show Pink and Bombshell boutique at Bangsar.
  • Threads Zoo
    This is where all the zookeepers come to sell their belongings!:) Had their first meet at Hartamas and moved to a new bigger space at TTDI.
  • The Fashionisette
    From the founders of Threadzoo, this bazaar is held in The Attic, Bangsar
  • Junk in the Trunk
    Held every now and then on Thursdays at The Attic, Bangsar.
  • Bijou Bazaar
    They’re bazaar experts by now. Organized a few bazaars at various parts of Klang Valley
  • Chics Closet
    With two bazaars under their supervision already, Chics Closet is making waves!
  • SPCA Jumble Sale
    SPCA always has jumble sales selling second hand items to help raise funds for the animals there. Head on to their website to find out more!

“Offline” Parties/Shopaholic Parties in Malaysia

  • Shopaholics Unite Party
    Shopaholics Unite probably started this trend of offline parties, each fortnight or so, they have a offline party for girls to try out their items for sale. Located at Plaza Damas, Hartamas. Cash only please!

Flea Markets/Street Markets/Second hand items sale/Odd items (Yes, you might find some vintage clothes here)

  • The Curve’s Street Market
    This flea market is always awesomely packed every weekend. Most stalls sell items like: Shoes, clothes, hair clips, underwears, bags, jewelries and even strawberries! Saturdays and Sundays 10 am to 8pm
  • Amcorp Mall Flea Market
    This flea market probably has the most diverse items, besides fab vintage clothes! Old records, old Coke cans, coins, clothes, cakes, etc etc.Sundays from 9 am to 6 pm
  • The Sunrise Arts, Bric-a-brac and Craft (ABC) Market
    Located at Plaza Mont Kiara. This flea market was here since 2000 and has attracted a lot of people. Handicrafts, paintings, apparel, books, accessories, handbags, shoes, potted plants, household goods, car exhibits. Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm

    Hey peeps, If you have good quality second hand goodies, shopped one too many and dont know what to do with some of the items, thought of selling some of your old school stuff/unique and rare collectibles, foods like muffins/jelly/local kuih-muih to services like label making, manicure/pedicure, convert CD to DVD…anything!!!
