Everyone NEEDS a good pair of jeans. It is the matter of how the jeans fits and the quality. But, not everyone has the perfect shaped body that fits the sizes of the jeans :D

am wondering, where’s the best place to get a really good/nice/affordable pair of jeans. especially with cuts that are flattering since i am pear-shaped… =(

You are not alone! A lot of girls are pear shaped also. I hardly can find jeans myself, as they are usually loose on my waist area (pear Shaped myself) but fits everywhere else. Not to mention that we can’t really wear all types of jeans! It is horrendous i tell you, the dilemma of getting a good jeans. So, i usually opt for hipsters that usually sit on my hips so that i don’t have to deal with the loose waist area. But sometimes, they are super low, which makes it once again, harder to get a proper one (Butt cracks all can be seen, not a proper jeans to buy!). Try getting those which have higher cut at the back area.

Also, usually pear shaped ladies should wear a boot cut/flared bottom to balance out the derrière.  It gives you a slimmer look that balances out with the flare.

Owh, and darker colours helps too!:) (And try not to wear skinny jeans? It’s just not flattering for pear shaped)

Suggestions:

  1.  Hipsters/BootCut Jeans
    I would not suggest any, as i myself swear by one favorite jeans from Giordano and also a few from Dorothy Perkins as I am a plus size.
  2. Any suggestions from the readers?

    Romp~!!! It’s affordable, although it’s everywhere.

    People, try jeans with washes, (lighter color or white in the middle part of the jeans), it will apparently makes your hips look slimmer.

    Get some help from yahoo ask too.

    i know guys who wear reali tight nudie jeans and omg, i really can’t bear to finish this sentence .

    i personally prefer levis 501 cut, fits me good. I reckon even for the ‘pear shaped’, 501 would still look good.

    APC came out with this APC New Standard jeans,which i think is really nice. Plus,these stretch out after you start wearing em. And best of all, it’s raw Japanese selvedge denim! I’ve yet to pick up the New Standard, it’s about US155 and i’m not sure where to get it in Malaysia.

    I know price is an issue, but IMHO Gap jeans are the way to go… if only they weren’t so expensive in Malaysia… :P

    My problem with jeans are around the bum area. I’m flat on that end =p Solution? Buy men’s jeans. Still, sometimes they don’t fit because women do have rounder hips and thighs. Experimenting and never give up is a good thing to do when it comes to clothes.

    GAP Jeans are one of the best that I’ve tried so far. Too bad they’re way expensive here in Msia. Dorothy Perkins and Giodarno are personal faves too.

    guess jeans is always nice for pear shape women..im a pear shape myself..i feel good wearing guess because it is slightly big at the hips area..as i have a very big hips..slightly expensive but its worth it.

    Yeah I must agree that Gap makes one of the best fitting jeans especially for pear-shaped people. It’s always a great buy when they have their own season sales. At least it’s not too expensive after the discounts.
