Cinch of the season

Fashion trends come and go like a flash every season. How would you know what to, and what not to invest in? And would that particular trend flatter you that season? Gorgeous women such as (the legendary) Marilyn Monroe and Catherine Zeta Jones has always portrayed an elegant hourglass figure. Now it’s a sure bet to bring those classic looks back with a wide belt no matter how you’re shaped.

Even Hollywood hotshots such as Paris Hilton is wearing these belts to accentuate her (barely there) curves.

Belts are the most important accessories and they’re a simple and inexpensive way to look fashionable and curvy at the same time. Try wearing a wide belt just under the bust, which is the smallest part of the torso. It helps to pull in your waist, and flatter your tummy!

The key to developing a simple yet elegant style is buying clothing items that are basic and vital; taking advantage of the multiple combinations that can be done with the clothes. These key components of your wardrobe are the ones that ensure that you’ll never find yourself without anything to put on. Then, you can spice up your wardrobe with these belts!

You can put on a simple black shirt with jeans, and do experiment with colorful belts such as bright red or silver to make the outfit more colorful. In addition to that, you can wear these belts with dresses that have empire waist line to accentuate your curves!

Following the trend doesn’t mean you have to splurge on the current “in” thing. These belts can be easily bought from small shops in One Utama shopping centre, of even Sungai Wang Plaza for bargainable prices ranging from RM15 to RM30. However, for more fashionable and more variety, you can try at places such as Topshop, Mango and Forever 21 for prices ranging from RM40 onwards
