How to wear metallic gold or silver this year end?

Metallics are still all the rage this year end season. Anything with shimmer and glitter once upon a time, seen as tacky except worn as evening wear can mix match them today into a very mod and in fashion outfit. Gold of all shades and tones seem to be the favorite over silver at least for the last couple of seasons when talking about metallic.

So how should one wear all that shimmers and is gold?

emmagem recommends :

1) For daywear, mix and match a metallic shimmer top with rustic jeans and casual sandals. Do not match more then two pieces of shimmer at one time, lest you be seen as tacky i.e. matching handbag and shoes. However, it is okay to use tone on tone shimmer, like a muted gold shimmer top with a shiny metallic bag. The idea is to bring shine into your wardrobe and life but not to blind others.

2) It is also really cute to wear, those shimmery and shiny leather or gold mesh belts as accessory, just one statement piece against a black dress or white outfit. Even khaki toned outfits can be brightened up this way. Or just wear it with jeans and t-shirt.

3) Layer gold jewelry of varying lengths and sizes. The idea is not so much volume anymore but still building layers but refine layers.

4) For evening, wear chunky gold/silver jewelry, just one statement piece. Stacking up chunky jewelry is a little passé this season.

5) Wear gold or shiny silver shoes or sandals… guarantee to light up your feet.

6) Wear a whole gold or silver lame dress sans any accessories… bare shoulders and neck… just let the beauty within shine with a little help from the outfit.

7) Handbags and clutches, every girl must have… go for gold or silver sequin or mesh the old Glomesh clutches way back from the 80’s would be so in right now (beg, borrow or steal one or else visit fleas markets, you might juts find one at a real steal)
