Although i have never actually sat down for a whole episode of Gossip Girl i still know that there has been a headband craze that started from the show, mainly due to the actress Blair Woldorf. There are many kinds of headbands that are available in the market; from stretchy elastic ones to headbands covered in rhinestones.

You know , if the truth be known , I “hate” all you girls out there who confidently strut your stuff in some real cool jeans. I have just been dying to wear a real super duper top with sequins and the full works to a club and to ensure that this very versatile top is not OTT (over the top ) cos it can be kind of formal , I just need to match it with a perfect pair of jeans, to give it that I am so cool, so carefree I am all dressed up but so oh, very nonchalantly effect.
So what is perfect for me, well , I have chunky thighs (common knowledge by now, ehem) and okay , butt is Beyonce bootylicious like since it got better and I wanna get me a Jayzee like bop biip biiip bop. But you know, I just can’t get it right cos when it fits my butt, it gapes on top of waistline especially when I sit, revealing all my sundries and really who needs to know. Obviously low cuts are out , besides , this is just me okay, when you girls wear your low midriffs, make sure your midriff is somewhat flat and also , pls wear a real low g-string or thong. I am forever cursed because (hence no low cuts for me) when some years back, the early days of low cut jeans and thong, I had the misfortune of sitting behind this lovely couple , and well, when I glance down , I saw the heiny of the girl revealed including the red triangle patch of her thong which had ridden high…now that is enough to put any girl off her starbucks and uugghh, major shudder at such a fashion faux pas…Thus began the search for my perfect jeans and only after some major “fashion therapy” sessions:-)
I have decided that I can learn how find the perfect jeans like the perfect man and that I should stop avoiding jeans because of one bad incident. Looking for THE pair can be an academic process and the best way is to be honest about what or who you are (in this case your body shape and what type of jeans could potentially suit you best) . And you. I mean I, of course, gotta go out on trying dates and brave some early disappointments to find my , I mean your, ultimate match, I mean jeans that is, and to find the perfect fit! And if once you don’t succeed , you try and try again… but fear not to find the perfect jeans (really , really read the linked article), it ain’t so hard …just click on and read some more…
Generally heavy bottoms, look good with bootlegs and wide legged jeans, for a bit of tummy bulge go for a higher waistline , yeees even the high waisted seventies style… If you are skinny , well jeans are made for you; drainpipes , slim cuts almost anything goes except baggy jeans will give a drowning effect… If no butt, go for emphasized pockets, if big on lower half, always wear darker colors…. for big thighs the washout effect , where the dark colors at the side slims down the thighs a little and the white out gives a lift and go for darker shades and more contrast …
So , I’m off , I’m off to find my perfect errr.. jeans.
I was walking around Hartamas Shopping Center on a lazy friday afternoon and found a quint little shop located at a corner with some pretty awesome clothes. The shop is called Eve and according to the shop owner, Nicole, Eve designs her own clothes. Little did I know, Eve Yong has been around for quite some time now and has outlets all over Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. Her 2008 Collections presents much geometrical designs and florals.
Dresses are pretty and affordable too. From RM100 onwards, you can get Maxi Dresses, Tube Dresses and much more. Besides her 2008 collection, the shop too sells other clothings like shoes, shorts and other accessories that would complete a whole look. They have sizes S, M and L. Clothes at Eve are really feminine but with a certain edge that will make you unique:) Eve has been known for being “the meastro of feminine fashion”.

Muslim Fashion has hit the internet long ago!:) Many shops has been here for quite some time. One of the thing that we noticed is that they usually just wear a normal dress, but with an inner top(as they call it) and a hijab (Tudung, in Malay) 
We found this awesome website, sort of like Who What Wear Daily, but it is for Muslim Women who wear hijabs. It’s called We Love Hijab( http://welovehijab.com/ ). Check that site out for more Muslim Fashion. Check out what’s hot, then search through our MOFSD page and find for dresses and blouses that will compliment an inner wear.
Just make sure you have inner wears in multiple colours. Then you can mix and match items to be worn with hijabs:) Inners are just plain long sleeved tees, that is thin enough to be layered, yet still look modest.

Levis Strauss have come up with an economic range of jeans but yet serves a very important function where comfort and practicality matters most. This new range named named Totally Slimming Jeans has added spandex around the thighs and rear to hold in more of the loose bits and has a hidden panel to hold in the tummy. It works like a girdle but is much more comfortable. The range came about when they interviewed a group of bored mums who were at a focus group meet waiting to pick up their pre-teenage daughters. The young mothers told the Signature design team their concerns and angst and voila! this summer , will see the launch of this affordable range at USD 29 could very likely be retailing at RM129, but I’m just guessing here. 
We’ll just have to wait and see. This range comes in all the usual flattering cuts like bootleg and slim cut and not too low midriff as moms are constantly on the go, picking up kids and toys and shopping for groceries , they don’t want to feel too exposed and be concerned about VPL or VPW (visible panty waistbands) and at the same time , they would like to beat the post post baby and mommy blues and look good in some functional jeans.
I don’t know KM, sounds like I could possibly have found my perfect pair of jeans at last, mommy or not….:)lols

(Sorry, it was at Bangsar, not Hartamas! Sorry for the wrong info, Louanne was with me then and I got confused! I went to both square rooms in two days in a row!:) )
Hartamas Shopping Centre also has this square room where they have a whole loads of small stalls at one space. They just opened one square room at Bangsar Telawi Streets to add to the growing list of Bangsar Shops already! lols!

Snacking might have a bad rap but we just can’t resist doing it whether in between lectures, during lunch break or even just sitting at home. But even then, snacking might not be all bad.
